Word domination (5/22)

The first step to world domination is word domination.

That is, owning a word in the prospect's mind.

In the branding arts, this is mastery. Slam dunk. Bullseye. Perfection.

Because, fundamentally, words are what anchor meaning deep within our gray matter.

They're the hooks between the pure concept and the abstract idea.

So, when I need a car that keeps my family safe, and Volvo is right there already owning that slot. Boom, I'm buying a Volvo.

Same goes for FedEx and overnight. Google and search.

Or (fittingly), Microsoft and word.
